Problem
This problem affects sites that had the Meta-Inf Ultimate Permission Manager plugin installed prior to upgrading to Confluence Data Center 7.3. This app was acquired by Atlassian, and its features were consolidated into Confluence Data Center.
After switching to a Server license, the Ultimate Permission Manager features including Effective Permissions and Who can view are not available.
Cause
When you upgrade to Confluence Data Center 7.3 we automatically disable the Ultimate Permission Manager, as its features are now part of Confluence Data Center. This plugin isn't automatically re-enabled if you switch to a Confluence Server license.
This issue does not affect customers upgrading to Confluence Server 7.3.
Resolution
You will need to manually enable the Ultimate Permission Manager plugin.
- Go to Administration menu then Manage apps.
- Search for Ultimate Permission Manager.
- Choose Enable.
